Artist's Description

I had been out cutting hay all morning long . . . was rather exhausted actually . . . had hay dust everywhere including my eyes. As I rode back to the barn to clean up for lunch, I stopped my team of mules and hopped off the hay-cutter to grab this shot . . . was thankful I always keep my camera with me in a plastic bag while out working in the field.

Alright, alright . . . I may have taken a bit too much poetic license here. The fact of the shot is that I was visiting Grand Teton National Park and decided it was time to visit the Moulton Barn. When we arrived, we were so very disappointed to find the National Park Service had a bulldozer parked next to the barn . . . obviously an unfortunate circumstance. It forced me to look for a different POV which I may not have done otherwise. In this photograph, the weeds have hidden the bulldozer nicely.

Through my photography, I share the things I see in the natural world around me. My photographic aim is to end up with a photograph I can share that looks like what I saw in my mind's eye and to have it appreciated by the viewer. To that end, I shoot in camera raw and develop it in my digital darkroom to achieve a high quality, realistic-looking photograph of what I viewed.
