Artist's Description

As we strolled one of the trails at Circle B Bar Reserve near Lakeland, Florida, we came across this great blue heron hiding in the pickerelweed. A large bird, the great blue heron measures about 45-47 inches (115-120 cm) from beak-tip to tail-tip and its long legs make it appear even larger.
